Tabouli (Arabic salad)


Ingredients:

  • 2 bunches parsley, finely chopped
  • 1/2 lettuce, finely chopped
  • 1/2 bunch mint, finely chopped
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 4 tomatoes, cut into 1 cm pieces
  • 1/2 cup burghul (finely crushed wheat)
  • Juice of two lemons
  • Salt
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil

Method:

1. Wash burghul with cold water and then drain it.

2. Combine parsley, lettuce, mint, onions, tomatoes and burghul in a bowl and mix well.

3. Add lemon juice and olive oil.

4. Toss well to mix.

5. Serve with Lebanese bread.
